Why we need you...

Poetry Community Christian School is a fully accredited private school serving students in K-12th grades. The school, located in rural Poetry, Texas, serves a diverse group of families primarily from the middle to lower-middle income brackets.  Families come to PCCS from many local communities, including Rockwall, Caddo Mills, Royse City, Terrell, Kaufman, Forney, Fate, Balch Springs, Leonard, Crandall, Mesquite, Rowlett, Greenville, Quinlan, Scurry, and Poetry. The school was established in 2002 and celebrated its 20th Anniversary in 2022.

To make tuition more affordable and encourage parent involvement, PCCS implemented an innovative "Parent Partnership Program." In this program, parents volunteer at least 5 hours per month for each student enrolled. This leads to nearly 2000 volunteer hours per month to support school operations and keep overhead down.  Since most of our families come from the middle to lower-middle income brackets, this lower tuition enables them to send their children to a Christian school.

While our affordable tuition structure and conservative fiscal management keep PCCS solvent, it does not offer monies necessary for campus improvements or development or assist families needing financial aid.

That's where donations and fundraising play a role!  We need your support to provide needed campus improvements! (see below).  Your support is tax-deductible!

For 19 years, K-12 students at Poetry Community Christian School have enjoyed sharing the Multi-Purpose Building constructed in 2003.

While Academics come first at PCCS, athletics offer an enriching and team-building opportunity for student that promotes fitness and healthy competition.

Off-site venues and a gym divider were used to help with practices and games as the athletics program grew. However, Elementary sports training or games cannot be hosted, and middle school teams need more practice slots than can be offered with the MPB. Nor does the MPB house locker room, weight room, or other fitness rooms.

Parents and Administration alike have worked hard on fundraisers and were delighted when this Matching Campaign Opportunity came along.

EVERY DOLLAR UP TO $400,000 WILL BE MATCHED!

And your donated dollars are Tax Deductible* because PCCS is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit!

PCCS serves primarilly middle to lower-middle income families and tuition is committed to operational expenses, so fundraisers and donations are the sole avenue for this project.  Please join this effort, and DONATE TODAY!

PCCS students travel to serve both a local and a Kentucky missions organization for one week each summer.  Students and their chaperones serve those communities in many ways including painting houses, working in food kitchens, teaching children via sidewalk ministry and in day care facilities, visiting and interacting with special needs adults and the elderly, packing food bags for lunches for children, and helping with clothing distribution.  Donations to the Missions Team will help defray the costs of lodging and food (in dorm-like facilities) and travel.  Thank you, in advance, for your support!  This is a tax-deductible donation!

PCCS values diversity in our student body.  That is why one of our missions is to offer a lower tuition structure compared to other private schools.  However, standard tuition rates are still out of reach for some families seeking a Christ-centered education for their children.

To respond to this need, we have established a Financial Aid Campaign for those families in the low income bracket who wish for their students to attend a Christian school.  In order to qualify for financial assistance, these families must demonstrate financial need through a Financial Aid Application (and such students must meet all other Enrollment Application requirements).

Please consider a tax-deductible donation to support these wonderful families and students who have demonstrated financial need.
